I decided to take on the Cloud Resume Challenge when I was going through the Level Up In Teach DevOps bootcamp at the beginning of 2021. My intention was to complete the entire project and post one article with all the details. Well, life and work and prevented me from making any more advances on this since July 2021 so I decided to instead release articles in pieces as I accomplish the task. This first part is still a great project for someone looking to transition into cloud and allows you to create a serverless website that hosts your resume. I also think this is the easiest part of the Cloud Resume Challenge and I personally need to take a few courses to complete the rest. As I complete more parts of this project I’ll be sure to post and will update this article with links.

I should add a disclaimer at the beginning that I’m not going to go into as much detail as I typically do in these posts. If I did, then I’d be depriving you of learning the services for yourself. I know what you’re probably thinking, “just show me exactly what you did step by step so I can learn it.” I have to admit that’s what I thought I wanted when I first started, but not doing so made me dive in more than I expected. When I ran into issues it forced me to troubleshoot and investigate the possible problems. I felt that I learned more from this…
